Michael Laird has lived and traveled all over the world and worked in a large number of occupations ranging from selling appliances and running a rifle range in college, as well as a missile launch crew commander, an assistant professor at a major university, a captain in special ops, and as a contractor/consultant in the field of software development.
He currently lives in Westchester County, New York, with his wife Linda. With four grown children between the two of them, they are expecting this to eventually lead to grandchildren. Even so, they still consider themselves too young to be grandparents. Currently they are between dogs.
The Forged Prince was his first full-length novel.
